How to Delete Your Account

You can delete your DanceMap account directly from the app or by contacting us:

Option 1: From the App

1. Open DanceMap and go to the Profile tab
2. Scroll down and tap Delete Account
3. Confirm the deletion when prompted
4. Your account and associated data will be permanently deleted

Option 2: Contact Us

Send an email to hello@scalesolving.com with the subject line “Delete My Account” from the email address associated with your DanceMap account. We will process your request within 7 business days.

What Data Is Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:

• Your account profile (name, email, profile picture)
• Your dance style preferences
• Your saved events and RSVPs
• Your reviews and ratings
• Your linked social media accounts (Instagram handles)
• Your organizer profile (if applicable)

What Data May Be Retained

Certain data may be retained for legitimate business purposes:

• Event data you created as an organizer — published events remain visible to the community but are disassociated from your account
• Anonymized analytics — aggregate, non-identifiable usage data may be retained for service improvement

Retained data cannot be used to identify you after account deletion.

Retention Period

Account deletion is processed immediately when done from the app. Email requests are processed within 7 business days. Once processed, your personal data is permanently deleted from our systems within 30 days. Backup systems may retain encrypted copies for up to 90 days before automatic purging.
