1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using DanceMap (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

DanceMap is a discovery platform for dance events including socials, classes, and festivals. The App allows users to:

• Browse and search for dance events by style, location, and date
• RSVP to and save events
• Write reviews for events and classes
• Create and manage events as an organizer
• Scan event flyers to automatically create listings

3. Account Registration

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You must be at least 13 years old to use the App
• One person may not maintain more than one account

4. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent event information
• Write reviews that are defamatory, harassing, or contain hate speech
• Use the App to spam or send unsolicited messages
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts
• Scrape or collect data from the App without permission
• Use the App for any illegal purpose

5. Event Listings

• Accuracy: Event organizers are responsible for the accuracy of their event listings, including dates, times, prices, and venue information.
• Third-party events: Some events are sourced from public social media posts. We make reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy but do not guarantee the correctness of third-party event information.
• Changes and cancellations: Events may be changed or cancelled by organizers. DanceMap is not responsible for event changes, cancellations, or refunds.

6. Reviews

• Reviews must reflect genuine experiences
• We reserve the right to remove reviews that violate our User Conduct guidelines
• By posting a review, you grant DanceMap a non-exclusive license to display it within the App

7. Organizer Accounts

• Organizers are responsible for the events they create and manage
• Organizer accounts may be verified through our claim process
• We reserve the right to remove organizer status for violations of these terms

8. Intellectual Property

• The DanceMap name, logo, and App design are our intellectual property
• Event flyer images uploaded by users remain the property of their respective creators
• User-generated content (reviews, event descriptions) is licensed to DanceMap for display within the App

9. Disclaimers

• The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind
• We do not guarantee the availability, accuracy, or quality of any event listed
• We are not responsible for interactions between users at events
• We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the App
• Attendance at events listed on the App is at your own risk

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DanceMap shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App.

11. Termination

• You may delete your account at any time
• We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these terms
• Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify you of significant changes.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States.
